Sheriff’s Crime Log Through Dec. 13

MADERA COUNTY – Following are details from the Madera County Sheriff’s Office of reports taken locally during the week of Monday, Dec. 7 through Sunday, Dec. 13, 2015.

Oakhurst person deceased
On Monday, Dec. 7 at 00:28 a.m. deputies responded to the 40000 blk of CA-41 for a report of a deceased person. An investigation was conducted and found that the subject had died of natural causes. The family was notified. A report was generated and forwarded to the County Coroner’s office for review.

Coarsegold mail box theft
On Monday, Dec. 7 at 9:54 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to Road 415 and Road 400 for theft of items from a mail box cluster. A report was taken and case closed due to lack of investigative leads.

Oakhurst vandalism
On Monday, Dec. 7 at 10:08 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to a phone call for a report of a vandalism that occurred in the 49000 block of Road 426. No arrest was made. Case closed due to insufficient leads.

Oakhurst arrest
On Monday, Dec. 7 at 12:48 p.m. a deputy conducted a vehicle stop in the area of John West Road at Fair Oaks Drive which resulted in an arrest for three misdemeanor warrants, narcotics charges, and vehicle code violations. Arrestee was booked at Madera County jail for the above charges.

Coarsegold mail theft
On Monday, Dec. 7 at 1:28 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to contact regarding the theft from the cluster mail boxes located at the Cavin Lane and Highway 41. Report taken. Case to be closed.

Oakhurst mail theft
On Monday, Dec. 7 at 1:38 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to call the Postmaster regarding a theft from the cluster mailboxes located at Indian Rock Road and Highway 49. Report taken. Case to be closed.

Oakhurst theft
On Monday, Dec. 7 at 2:41 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a business located within the 40700 block of CA-41, in Oakhurst, regarding a report of a theft. This case has been suspended, pending investigative leads.

Coarsegold mail theft
On Monday, Dec. 7 at 2:52 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to telephone a male regarding a theft of a package from a mailbox cluster parcel box located at Road 415 and Jennifer Lane. This case has been suspended, pending investigative leads.

Coarsegold mail theft
On Monday, Dec. 7 at 3:29 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to telephone a female regarding a report of a package stolen from a mailbox cluster located at Cavin Lane and CA-41, in Coarsegold. This case has been suspended, pending investigative leads.

Coarsegold burglary
On Monday, Dec. 7 at 4:35 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence located within the 30500 block of Yosemite Springs Parkway, regarding a report of a burglary. This case has been suspended, pending investigative leads.

Coarsegold runaway juvenile
On Monday, Dec. 7 at 5:11 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence located within the 31500 block of CA-41 regarding a report of a runaway juvenile. The juvenile was located at his girlfriend’s residence and returned home. This case has been closed.

Coarsegold arrest
On Monday, Dec. 7 at 8:58 p.m. deputies were dispatched to the 32000 block of Meadow Ridge Road regarding a vandalism that occurred at the Chevron gas station. Investigation revealed the suspect had stolen items out of the bed of a pickup truck and assaulted another patron with a sledge hammer. The suspect was located and taken into custody and later booked into Madera County Jail.

Coarsegold mail theft
On Tuesday, Dec. 8 at 9:10 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to call the victim regarding a theft that occurred from a mail box located at Skyline Ridge and Highway 41 area. Report taken. Case to be closed.

Coarsegold theft
On Tuesday, Dec. 8 at 9:12 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to take a phone call for a report of a theft from a locked cargo trailer. The trailer was located at the corner of CA-41 and Road 415, Coarsegold. No arrest was made, the suspect is unknown. Case closed due to insufficient leads.

Oakhurst texts to minor
On Tuesday, Dec. 8 at 10:24 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the Madera County Sheriff Department, Oakhurst Substation for a report of an unknown subject texting nude photos to a female juvenile. No arrest was made, the suspect is unknown. Case forward to Detectives for further investigation.

Oakhurst mail theft
On Tuesday, Dec. 8 at 10:28 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 42000 block of Nelder Heights Drive regarding the theft of a package from a mail box cluster. Report written. Case to be closed.

Oakhurst person in distress
On Tuesday, Dec. 8 at 12:52 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 48000 block of River Park Road regarding a suicidal subject. Subject sent to hospital for mental health evaluation. Case to be closed.

Oakhurst Coroner’s Case
On Tuesday, Dec. 8 at 1:20 p.m. a deputy was advised of a delayed Coroner’s case with the primary physician stipulating to the decedent’s cause of death. This is a natural death case involving only a Coroner’s referral number.

Oakhurst juvenile with marijuana
On Tuesday, Dec. 8 at 2:14 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 50000 block of School Road regarding a student with some marijuana. Report taken and sent to juvenile probation. Case to go to Juvenile probation.

Oakhurst theft
On Tuesday, Dec. 8 at 3:19 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the Oakhurst substation regarding the theft of a bench from the 49000 block of Vinnard Drive. Report taken. Case to be closed.

Ahwahnee burglary
On Tuesday, Dec. 8 at 1:57 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence located in the 41000 block of Road 600 for a report of a residential burglary in progress.

Oakhurst sexual child abuse
On Tuesday, Dec. 8 at 3:43 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to call the reporting party regarding possible sexual child abuse. Report taken. Case forwarded to detectives. Case to go to detectives for follow up.

Coarsegold mail theft
On Tuesday, Dec. 8 at 4:49 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to telephone a male regarding a report of a theft of a package from a mailbox cluster, parcel box, located at the intersection of Wells Road and Edan. This case has been suspended, pending investigative leads.

Oakhurst man in distress
On Tuesday, Dec. 8 at 10:15 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the care home facility located within the 40100 block of CA-49 regarding a patient who was possibly a danger to himself or others. During the investigation the patient was found to be a danger to himself or others and was placed on a mental health evaluation hold. The patient was transported via ambulance to a hospital for evaluation and/or treatment. This case has been closed.

Oakhurst theft
On Wednesday, Dec. 9 at 10:22 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the block of 40000 CA-41 regarding theft of tires from a vehicle. The tires were located on the dirt lot and turned over to the victim. Suspects are still outstanding at this time. Refer report closed until further leads develop.

Oakhurst theft
On Wednesday, Dec. 9 at 11:04 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the block of 39000 Road 425b regarding theft of an outdoor Christmas tree from the front yard. No suspects regarding this case. Refer report closed until further leads develop.

Oakhurst suspicious vehicle
On Wednesday, Dec. 9 at 1:04 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a suspicious vehicle near Road 619 and Road 600. The deputy contacted several subjects, one was having a seizure and was unable to sign a warrant citation release. She was transported by EMS to Mariposa Hospital. Refer report closed.

Oakhurst theft
On Thursday, Dec. 10 at 9:24 a.m. a deputy dispatched to contact a victim at the Oakhurst Substation regarding mail theft that occurred in the area of Meadowood Road and Stillmeadow Drive. There was no leads, case to be closed.

Bass Lake battery
On Thursday, Dec. 10 during a preliminary hearing in the Sierra division of Madera Superior Court, a witness attacked an in-custody, restrained defendant. The witness was arrested and booked at the Madera County Jail for battery and disturbing the peace.

Oakhurst theft
On Thursday, Dec. 10 2:08 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 50000 block of Presidio Way regarding a theft that occurred at a residential carport. A partial suspect vehicle description was provided. A search of the area was conducted with no results. There are no leads at this time. Case is to be closed.

Bass Lake burglary
On Thursday, Dec. 10 at 2:18 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the block of 39000 Paha regarding a burglary. The suspect(s) had taken a vacuum cleaner and it was later located downstairs in the tenants residence. A vase was also stolen from the victim’s upstairs residence. The victim requested no criminal charges at this time. Refer report closed.

Coarsegold Coroner’s Case
On Thursday, Dec. 10 deputies were advised of a delayed Coroner’s case with the primary physician stipulating to the decedent’s cause of death. This is a natural death case involving only a Coroner’s referral number.

Coarsegold misplaced wallet
On Thursday, Dec. 10 at 2:08 p.m. a deputy took a report of a wallet being lost or stolen at a business in the 35000 block of CA-41 in Coarsegold. No suspect information at this time.

Oakhurst warrant citation
On Thursday, Dec. 10 at 8:07 p.m. a deputy was on patrol and conducted a subject check on Hwy 41 between Hwy 49 and Civic Cir Drive. Subject had three warrants for his arrest. Deputy cited subject on his three warrants.

Oakhurst arrest
On Thursday, Dec. 10 11:22 p.m. a deputy conducted an enforcement stop on a vehicle on School Rd/Road 426. The driver was arrested for having warrants out of two separate counties and booked into the Department of Corrections in Madera County. Case report was written and charges filed with the District Attorney’s Office.

Oakhurst narcotics arrest
On Friday, Dec. 11 at 00:00 deputies were flagged down at an apartment complex on the 49500 block of School Road in regards to a suspicious subject. Deputies contacted the subject and located methamphetamine and methamphetamine paraphernalia. Subject was arrested and booked into Madera County DOC. Forward to Madera County DA to pursue charges.

Oakhurst assault
On Friday, Dec. 11 at 00:13 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 49000 block of Rocky Cut Road to assist EMS regarding a assault victim. Report written, evidence obtained, no arrests made and case closed due to the victims refusing to file charges.

Oakhurst arrest
On Friday, Dec. 11 at 00:13 a deputy was dispatched to a residence in Oakhurst and later relocated to 42000 block of High Point Ct. in Ahwahnee. During the investigation the deputy located a male subject who had two misdemeanor no bail warrants out of Mariposa County. Subject was later taken into custody and transferred to Mariposa County and turned over to Mariposa Sheriff Deputies. Case closed by arrest.

Bass Lake mail theft
On Friday, Dec. 11 at 12:33 p.m. a deputy took a report of mail theft from a mailbox cluster in the 39000 block of Road 274.

Coarsegold fraud
On Friday, Dec. 11 at 1:04 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the Oakhurst Substation regarding an ex-room mate who was said to have opened several accounts in the victim’s name and used
her credit card information. The victim requested a report and possible charges. Refer report closed until further information is provided by the victim.

Oakhurst warrant arrest
On Friday, Dec. 11 at 1:40 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence near the block of 40000 Griffin Drive to assist Child Protective Services in contacting a parent regarding her son at school. The mother had a warrant for traffic violations and was later arrested and transported to MDOC. Requested this report be closed.

Oakhurst vandalism
On Saturday, Dec. 12 at 10:51 a.m. a deputy took a report of vandalism to a vehicle in the 42000 block of Buckeye Road. Latent prints were recovered and are being processed. Further investigation is pending the outcome of the latent print processing.

North Fork Coroner’s Case
On Saturday, Dec. 12 at 11:27 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 57000 block of Road 225 regarding a coroner case of a female subject. An investigation was conducted and report written. Report is to be forwarded to the Chief Deputy Coroner.

Oakhurst misplaced mailbox key
On Saturday, Dec. 12 at 11:12 a deputy took a general incident report for a lost or stolen mailbox key at a residence in the 36000 block of Road 425b. Case to be closed.

Coarsegold warrant arrest
On Saturday, Dec. 12 at 11:39 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 31000 block of Apache Road regarding a domestic incident. The male and female were both in an argument. The male subject was arrested on a warrant and transported to jail. Refer report to the D.A’s office for review of charges.

Ahwahnee lost firearm
On Saturday, Dec. 12 at 3:04 p.m. a deputy responded to an address in the 41000 block of Loch Lomond Lane regarding a lost firearm.

North Fork domestic violence
On Saturday, Dec. 12 at 6:53 p.m. deputies responded to the area of the 32900 block of Weatherly Lane for a family disturbance. The suspect was located where he was taken to jail for misdemeanor domestic violence and public intoxication. The report was forwarded to the District Attorney’s Office.

O’Neals man in distress
On Sunday, Dec. 13 at 7:51 a.m. a deputy responded to a dispatch call in the 54000 block of Road 210 for a male who was threatening suicide. Male was located and transported to MCH by EMS for a metal evaluation.

Coarsegold runaway juvenile
On Sunday, Dec. 13 at 12:56 p.m. a deputy responded to a runaway juvenile in the area of 42000 Ranger Circle Way. Juvenile was located and alleged physical and mental abuse in her home. Juvenile was placed on an evaluation hold and CPS took custody of juvenile.
