Sheriff’s Crime Log Through Dec. 10

MADERA COUNTY– Following are details from the Madera County Sheriff’s Office of reports taken locally from Monday, Dec. 4 to Sunday, Dec. 10, 2017.

Oakhurst assault
On Monday, Dec. 4, at 1:22 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the area of CA-49 near Redbud Drive in regards to a male and female physically fighting. Upon arrival, both parties were contacted and found to be uncooperative during questioning. Case to be closed.

North Fork stolen vehicle
On Monday, Dec. 4, at 6:15 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 34000 block of Church Ranch Road regarding suspicious activity. Upon arrival an investigation ensued and it was found that a motor vehicle was missing from the property. A stolen vehicle report was taken.

Oakhurst motor vehicle stop, stolen vehicle found
On Tuesday, Dec. 5, at 12:30 a.m. a deputy conducted an enforcement stop on a suspicious vehicle at Yosemite High School. The vehicle was discovered to be an unreported stolen vehicle. The juvenile driver was arrested for a violation of 10851 C.V.C. and 148.9 P.C. and booked at Madera County Juvenile Hall.

Oakhurst report of threats
On Tuesday, Dec. 5, at 11:30 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of Enterprise Drive in Oakhurst regarding threats. Report taken and case closed.

North Fork juvenile concerns
On Tuesday, Dec. 5, at 3:27 p.m. deputies responded to the Oakhurst sub-station for concerns regarding juvenile issues. Parents to the juvenile were contacted and a general incident report for this incident was written. Report was forwarded to CPS for review and the report was closed as documentation.

Oakhurst domestic violence
On Tuesday, Dec. 5, at 7:42 p.m. deputies were dispatched to the 40000 block of Alerna Way in regards to a domestic violence report. During the investigation the suspect pulled out a gun and threatened to shoot himself. The suspect eventually dropped the gun and an altercation with deputies ensued during his arrest. The suspect was taken into custody on several charges.

North Fork missing person
On Tuesday, Dec. 5, at 7:16 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 33000 block of Peckinpah Acres Road due to a report of a missing person. Missing person was later located and discovered to be safe. A report was written.

Oakhurst danger to self
On Wednesday, Dec. 6, at 8:15 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of CA-41 regarding to assist EMS for a female that had taken some pills. A mental health evaluation hold was placed on the female and she was sent to Madera Community Hospital. Refer report closed.

Oakhurst vandalism
On Wednesday, Dec. 6, at 10:58 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the intersection of Foothill Drive and North Slope Lane regarding vandalism to a water tank. The reporting party requested a report for documentation. Refer report closed.

North Fork possible assault
On Wednesday, Dec. 6, at 12:02 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 33000 block of Road 228 regarding a possible assault that occurred on Dec. 5 in the 32000 block of Weatherly Lane. Report for documentation purposes only.

Oakhurst vandalism
On Wednesday, Dec. 6, at 1:49 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 50000 block of Spook Lane regarding someone had slashed the victim’s tires on her car. Refer report closed.

Oakhurst motor vehicle stop, vehicle towed
On Thursday, Dec. 7, at 11:58 a.m. a deputy performed a traffic stop in the area of Civic Center and Highway 41. Driver was cited for expired registration over 6 months and vehicle was towed. Report for documentation purposes only.

Oakhurst public intoxication
On Thursday, Dec. 7, at 5:22 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of CA-41, regarding a male subject that was harassing people. Deputy made contact with the subject and determined the subject was intoxicated. The subject was booked into Madera Department of Corrections for public intoxication.

Oakhurst theft
On Friday, Dec. 8, at 12: 57 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of CA- 41 regarding a theft that occurred on Dec. 7. Case should be closed at this time pending further leads.

Coarsegold fraud
On Friday, Dec. ,8 at 1:54 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Comstock Drive regarding a credit card fraud report. Case should remain open pending further investigation.

Oakhurst assault
On Friday, Dec. 8, at 5:31 p.m. a deputy responded to the 40000 block of CA-49 for a report of an assault. When the deputy arrived on scene a case number was drawn.

Ahwahnee disturbance
On Friday, Dec. 8, at 9:13 p.m. deputies responded to the 42000 block of CA-49 for a report of a disturbance. Deputies arrived on scene and placed the subject in custody who was later transported to the Madera County Detention Facility. Charges have been filed with the District Attorney’s Office.

Coarsegold reported child abuse
On Friday, Dec. 8, at 8:43 p.m. the Madera Sheriff’s Office was contacted by CPS regarding reported child abuse in the 29000 block of Lilley Mountain Way. Deputies responded to check on the welfare of the children. A report was taken and forwarded to the detective unit for follow-up.

North Fork vandalism
On Saturday, Dec. 9, at 12:53 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 33000 block of Road 221 regarding a civil dispute between a female and male subject. During the incident the female’s cell phone was vandalized by the male subject. Report was written and forwarded to the District Attorney’s Office.

Oakhurst lost wallet
On Saturday, Dec. 9, at 12:10 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 41000 block of CA-49 in regards to a lost wallet. Report for documentation purposes only.

Coarsegold possible road rage incident
On Saturday, Dec. 9, at 7:10 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 31000 block of Cherokee Road regarding a possible road rage incident. This report was taken for suspicious circumstances. Case to be closed.

North Fork burglary
On Sunday, Dec. 10, at 9:13 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 34000 block of Douglas Ranger Station Road in regards to a residential burglary report. The victim was contacted and a report was written.

Oakhurst assault
On Sunday, Dec. 10, at 5:43 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of Junction Drive regarding an assault. Upon arrival it was determined two female subjects got into a physical altercation due to road rage. A report was taken with appropriate charges filed with the Madera County District Attorney’s Office. Case closed.
