Sheriff Seeks Help To Find Missing At-Risk Man After Crash

MADERA COUNTY — The Madera County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help in locating a missing at-risk adult.

The last known whereabouts of Antoine Christopher Williams, 41, are in the Eastman Lake area, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

His Red Nissan Sentra was found crashed into a tree at Eastman Lake on Friday, May 31 at 6:30 a.m. Mr. Williams was not at the scene. The crash is believed to have occurred roughly around 3:30 – 4 a.m.

Surveillance cameras at the ranger station observed a black or white pickup truck driving towards the crash site around 5 a.m. and leaving the area a few minutes later.

Antoine Williams is a black male adult, with black hair and brown eyes, 6’7” tall and weighing 240 pounds. It is unknown what he may have been wearing when he left the accident scene. Mr. Williams is from out of state and unfamiliar with the area, according to authorities. They say he left all of his personal belongings, including his cell phone, in the car at the crash scene.

Investigators are seeking information from anyone who may have been in the area at the time or may know the whereabouts of Antoine Williams.

They are also seeking information about the truck that was captured on the surveillance camera leaving the area shortly after the crash, or the  identity of the driver.
