NORTH FORK — We received a lot of questions about the helicopter circling overhead along Road 200 west of North Fork on Wednesday morning.
According to the Madera County Sheriff’s Office, deputies and a Problem Oriented Policing Team were dispatched to the 55000 block of Quail Hollow Court, just off Bonnie B Road, after reports came in that a subject wanted on a felony warrant was in the area.
The subject, Gilbert Beecher, was located and led deputies on a foot pursuit, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
A K9 team was called in to assist. After a search of the area, Beecher was located by Deputy Schafer and K9 partner Apex and taken into custody.
Beecher was booked in at Madera DOC without incident.
