OAKHURST — The Madera County Sheriff’s Office will host representatives from the National Weather Service for an informative Winter Weather Workshop, and the public is invited to attend.
The Winter Weather Workshop will take place on Wednesday, Nov. 7 from 1 – 2:30 p.m. at Oakhurst Community College, located at 40241 Highway 41 in Oakhurst. Topics will include a winter weather outlook, snow level and accumulation, snow melt, debris flow potential forecasting, flash flooding forecasting, and a case study of a Mariposa flood event from March.
