Shaver Community Calling for Volunteers for Fire Prevention

SHAVER — Fire prevention efforts are being organized this weekend and next near Shaver, CA. These communities were wrecked by the Creek Fire and need help rebuilding. Volunteers will assist by hauling dead and excess woody debris to a chipper.

Image of the Sierra Foothill Conservancy logo.The volunteer work supports rebuilding and protects structures at risk for the upcoming fire season. Both projects are on private land and organized through the recovery collaborative.

Volunteers of all ages are encouraged to participate. Lunch will be provided.
