OAKHURST — Kellen Rescue offers local residents the opportunity to add immeasurable love and devotion to their lives, and in this case the opportunity is doubled.
“Our bonded five-year-old Sharpei-mix sisters are waiting for their forever home,” says Ellen Faux of Kellen Rescue. “They are friendly, well behaved, spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, crate-trained, easy care and a nice size at fifty pounds each.”
The pair will be adopted at a two-for-one cost.
“The sisters are good with male dogs their size and larger,” Faux continues. “They may not do well with some female dogs, small dogs, or cats. They like spending time outside on good days and are always inside at night.”

Kellen Rescue is a no-kill rescue, rehabilitation, and placement organization located in and around Oakhurst. The nonprofit organization’s mission is to partner loving lifetime homes with the dogs and cats in their foster care network. Kellen will request references, typically requires fenced yards and usually does not adopt out of the state of California. Kellen’s goal is to educate the community about the importance of spay and neutering, immunizations, training, care, feeding and proper containment and sheltering of companion animals without abuse.
