Senior Center Welcomes Trick Or Treaters

OAKHURST – The early area-forecast for Halloween on Friday, Oct. 31 is looking like rain, so that may have parents of littler kids scrambling to find the perfect way to get their trick or treat on without getting soaked.

Fortunately, for the second year in a row, the Sierra Senior Center will be open in Oakhurst to welcome young costumed revelers and their folks, starting on the early side at 4 p.m. which is perfect for toddlers and their parents, too.

“Ghosts and Goblins” are invited to stop by with their grown-up handlers for a “ghoulish good time.”

“Come celebrate Halloween,” say organizers at the Senior Center, who are busy decorating different tables for kids to visit when they come for candy and other holiday fun. Keep a patched eye out for games and prizes, as well.

Last year, the Senior Center reports they hosted at least 50 kids and even more are expected this time around. For more information, call (559) 658-2200 and spread the word.

The Sierra Senior Center is located at 49111 Cinder Lane in Oakhurst.
