Second Installment Of Property Taxes Due April 10

MADERA COUNTY — The Madera County Treasurer-Tax Collector’s office reminds property owners that the second installment of the 2016-2017 property taxes will become delinquent after Apr. 10th.

A 10 percent penalty and $20 cost will be added to each parcel if taxes are not paid by the due date.

For new property owners, if you have not received your tax bill, please contact the Tax Collector’s Office. All deeds may not have been processed as of this date, therefore, they would not have been entered into the property tax system. However, the taxpayer is responsible to pay their taxes timely, whether or not they receive a bill.

Payments made by mail must be postmarked by Apr. 10.

Taxpayers can also submit their payments during regular office hours, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, at 200 W. 4th Street in Madera.

If you have questions about your tax bill, you can call the Treasurer-Tax Collector’s Office at (559) 675-7713.
