OAKHURST – Yosemite High School’s production of the Disney musical Beauty and the Beast played to a packed house last night.
The evening left even the smallest children enthralled, as little kids were invited on stage at the show’s conclusion to have a hug with “Belle” and the rest of the cast.

The show opened on Wednesday, Apr. 23 to great reviews, and runs through Saturday, Apr. 26, including a matinee performance on closing day.
Directed by Lars Thorson, with Randy Hyatt as musical director, Jackie Byers as Vocal Coach/Pianist, and choreography by Shelby Pisel, the program featured Katelyn Hammerling as “Belle,” Eddie Nixon as “Beast/Prince,” Jacob Caldwell as “LeFou,” and Ben Hartesveldt as “Gaston.”
Playing enchanted roles were Jocelyn Boe as “Mrs. Potts,” Dillan Masai as “Lumiere,” Lance Litten as “Cogsworth,” Kaitlyn Sikora as “Chip,” Hannah McMechan as “Babette,” and Zoe Powel as “Madame de la Grande Bouche.”
