Rotary Evening At Erna's Benefits BGCO

OAKHURST – The eighth annual Rotary Evening at Erna’s will be held at 6 p.m. on Apr. 27, at Erna’s Elderberry House to benefit the Boys & Girls Club of Oakhurst.

Rotary Club members, under the direction of Executive Chef Jonathan Perkins, will prepare a four-course meal with three wine pairings.

A caramelized Vidalia onion soup will start the dining experience, followed by a salad of arugula and micro herbs. The evening’s entree is honey and dijon smoked organic chicken breast prepared with stone ground polenta with pancetta and sweet bell pepper, swiss chard and braised chicken ragout, parsnip, poultry-thyme jus. Dark chocolate mocha torte will be served for dessert.

Rotary InternationalEach course is paired with wine which is included in the price.

Assisting in the kitchen will be Dr. Mike Horasanian, Janet Stanovich, Andrew Pence, Todd Miller, Sandy Miller, Dan Rule, Susan and Tim Madden and Dennis Jones

Doug Macaulay, Rotary President, will serve as Maitre d’Hotel. Serving will be Captain Fern Faccino, Sheri Lee and her husband Jim, Marc Sobel, Larry and Christie Smith, Bob Macaulay, and Victor Weitzel

Boys and Girls Club LogoThis year’s proceeds will benefit the Boys & Girls Club of Oakhurst, whose mission it is “to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens.”

Tickets cost $125 per person, inclusive of tip, wine pairing and Viennese-style coffee service. Tickets are available at Yosemite Bank in Oakhurst or from Rotary Club members.
