COARSEGOLD – A single vehicle accident on Road 415 blocked traffic for a short time this afternoon, and sent the driver to the hospital.
At about 4 p.m. on Saturday, Jan 31, John Guillemin, of Raymond, was westbound on Road 415 near Bean Gulch in a 1995 Chevy Lumina, when he came into a corner too fast, according to CHP.
The driver lost control of the vehicle, hit a rock and rolled the Chevy, which came to rest on its wheels, blocking the road.
Emergency responders were able to get the roadway reopened in about 15 minutes, and then implemented one-way traffic control until the scene was cleared.
The driver was transported to Madera Community Hospital with lacerations to the face and other complaints of pain.
