Road Work Along Glacier Point Road

YOSEMITE – Starting next week and continuing for one month, park crews will be scaling loose rock along Glacier Point Road.

Monday through Friday, between July 15 through Aug. 16, there will be single-lane traffic control in place between 7 a.m.and 5 p.m. Motorists should expect delays of up to 15-minutes.There will either be pilot car operations or alternating stop and go traffic with flaggers, depending upon the length of single-lane closure. Park hand scaling and equipment crews will be removing the loose rocks along the upslope side of the Glacier Point Road embankment. Safety netting will be used during these operations, however park officials ask everyone to please slow down, be patient and cautious when traveling through these zones and DO NOT STOP in the work zone unless directed to do so by NPS staff.
