NORTH FORK – Cal Fire is reporting that the vegetation fire that started along Road 200 this evening is now contained at one-and-a-half acres.
They anticipate the roadway will be reopened at about 1 a.m. after being closed since 6:30 this evening due to hazardous conditions as crews battled the blaze.
The fire was started after a single vehicle accident just south of Fine Gold Creek bridge, north of House Ranch Road. A car veered off the road, hit the rocky embankment and rolled three times before catching fire. All three occupants were able to get out of the vehicle and suffered only minor injuries.
