Rev. David Brown Retires From Grace Community Church

Submitted by Don Grove –

NORTH FORK – Grace Community Church would like to invite all our friends to a celebration of the successful conclusion to the ministry of Reverend David Brown.

Rev. Brown has been the pastor here for the past seven years and is retiring at age 71. He will be sorely missed.

The church is inviting the community of North Fork to celebrate this well-deserved retirement by attending Rev. Brown’s last church service here on Sunday, Aug. 26, at 10:30 a.m. Everyone is welcome to attend the service and the celebration immediately following in Grace Hall, aka The Thrift Shop.

The farewell will express the goodwill from the congregation and all who attend. There will be music and accolades for Reverend Brown and his wife, Linda Hammer-Brown, for their service to the church and the community. The celebration luncheon will feature salads, cold foods and desserts.

Grace Community Church is now looking for an interim pastor to hold the position while the search for a permanent pastor continues. In the meantime, there will be guest ministers preaching the gospel every Sunday at 10:30 a.m. Feel free to join us during this quest – a time of transition, a time for growth, and a time to worship.

Grace Community Church is located at 56442 Road 200, North Fork, Calif.
