Spectacular Prizes At “Hot Wasuma Nights” Car Show Saturday

Wasuma Car Show Flyer Aug 2016AHWAHNEE —  Parents and teachers invite the community to this year’s Hot Wasuma Nights car show event on Saturday, Aug. 27 at Wasuma Elementary School, located at 45109 Highway 49. Admittance is free to those in attendance. Registration for cars and participants is $25.

The hot rod and classic car show starts at 9 a.m. and runs to 3 p.m.

Visitors can look forward to food, fun and friends while the PTA sets out to raise money for classroom supplies, equipment, sports uniforms, school assemblies, field trips, garden supplies, family fun events and more.

“The Wasuma PTA holds this car show to raise money so we can provide our kids with things like classroom supplies, garden materials, music and art programs, field trips, sports equipment, school assemblies, family events and so much more,” explains parent and organizer Lanie Suderman. “These programs are just as important as learning the three R’s and, thanks to our amazing community’s support, we are able to provide these things for our children’s education.”

Prize raffles and a 50/50 drawing will be on hand to raise the stakes.

Also generously donating are the folks at Miller’s Landing Resort Boat Rental. Meanwhile Theresa Wilson and Dennis Porter have sponsored trophies and dash plaques. Registered participants will be entered into a raffle for a one-night stay in a Pines Resort Chalet.

Sierra Tel donated two different External Hard Drives and two  Self Serve Copy Gift Certificates loaded for 500 copies each.
