Public Invited To Discuss Mono Rancheria Transit Plan

NORTH FORK — The North Fork Rancheria of Mono Indians invites tribal citizens and area residents to participate in developing an Action Plan to guide the implementation of transit service improvements over the next 5+ years.

A public meeting will be held on Wednesday, May 31, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the North Fork Rancheria Community Center, 56900 Kunugib Way.

There will be a brief presentation at 5:30 p.m., followed by discussion of the long-range transportation plan.

“What you have to say is important in helping to make improvements to the North Fork Rancheria Tribal Transit Program,” say Tribal officials. “Interested North Fork residents are encouraged to attend.”

Topics of discussion will include:

  • Problem identification – what is working and what is not
  • What are the Rancheria and North Fork area resident’s unmet mobility needs
  • What are the key local and regional origins and destinations
  • What kind of service is justified for the study area, and future service requirements

Tribal staff and consultant will be available to answer your questions and hear what you have to say.

Food and refreshments will be served and transportation is available – please phone 559-877-5520 or 559-877-5522.
