PG&E: Public Safety Power Shut Off Expected Monday

NORTH FORK – PG&E has notified the Madera County Office of Emergency Services and Mariposa County of a Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) event.  The PSPS is expected to affect the areas of 41 North, Sugar Pine area, Central Camp, Cascadel Woods, and Redinger Lake as well as Wawona and Fish Camp in Mariposa County.
The PSPS is being considered due to forecasted high winds in fire damaged areas.
Power is expected to be de-energized for the areas listed starting Monday Jan. 18, 2021 around 4:00pm with restoration estimated to occur on Thursday Jan. 21, 2021.

PG&E will also be reaching out to customers who will be impacted with phone calls and text messages.
Community Resource Center sites will be available at Yosemite High School and North Fork Elementary School. Both sites will be outdoor, and open to the public Monday 3:00- 9:30pm, and 8:00am-9:30pm Tuesday & Wednesday.
