Preschool Program Expands At Oakhurst Elementary

OAKHURST – Looking for preschool or know someone who is?

The Sierra Children’s Preschool Program at Oakhurst Elementary School (OES) is expanding, and administrators are excited to announce the addition of a second session for qualified preschool students.

The program will begin Monday, Dec. 1, 2014, and run Monday through Friday from 12:15 – 3:15 p.m., until June 10, 2015. Applications are being accepted at the Oakhurst Elementary School office.

Priority will be given to children:

1. Who are foster children (3-5 years old) on Sept. 1, 2014
2. Whose 5th birthday falls between Sept. 2- Dec. 2, 2014 (TK age) and NOT enrolled in a Kindergarten program
3. Who turn 4 years old on or before Sept. 1, 2014
4. Has a doctor approved disability (speech, social, emotional, physical)
5. Who turn 3 on or before Sept. 1, 2014
6. Income

The preschool program is offered by a credentialed teacher, providing an effective language-based preschool program aligned with the California Department of Education preschool standards. If you are interested in enrolling your child, applications of interest are available in the OES office. If you have any questions, contact the OES office at 642-1580.
