OAKHURST — If you’re thinking about starting a new career or just beginning your continued education, here’s a chance to learn some valuable skills. Yosemite Unified School District in cooperation with the State Center Adult Education Consortium is taking sign-ups for a Pre-Apprenticeship Training Opportunity in Oakhurst.
Open to students 18 years of age and up, the training program offers individuals the opportunity to begin learning in the building trades, including plumbing and pipe-fitting, electrician, carpentry, sheet metal working, and general labor. The program is planned for Fall 2016/Spring 2017 semesters. If this sounds good to you, sign up for the waiting and interest list online by contacting tmisner@yosemiteusd.org.
