Power Lines And Trees Down As Storm Moves Through

EASTERN MADERA COUNTY – A powerful storm is moving through the area, bringing down power lines and trees, and prompting reports of fires.

Cal Fire and CHP are currently responding to reports of a tree bringing down a power line on Road 426 near Robin Crest, a tree across the roadway on Highway 41 at Serpa Canyon north of Oakhurst, and power lines down in Yosemite Lakes Park in two locations – Longhollow Drive at Acorn Court, and Lilley Mountain Drive at John Muir.

A tree is also blocking Road 415 at Polk Ranch Road.

Firefighters are responding to a report of a vegetation fire on Highway 41 at Bay Leaf, just north of Suburban Propane in Oakhurst, though that may likely be a waterdog (steam rising after a thunder storm).

Motorists are advised to use caution when navigating the roadways as these incidents are cleared.
