Possible Kidnapping Attempt In Madera Ranchos

MADERA COUNTY – At about 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Apr. 8, a possible kidnapping attempt occurred near Webster Elementary School in the Madera Ranchos, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

An 11-year-old boy was walking along the street when a minivan pulled up behind him and the male driver asked the boy if he wanted a ride.

The boy refused and the male then reportedly offered to take him to his house; after the boy refused a second time, the male slowly drove away.

The suspect is described as a white male adult with tanned or olive-toned skin, dark or black hair combed forward, and a thin mustache. He was reportedly wearing a blue polo shirt and tan shorts and driving a 2012 or newer white Nissan minivan with tinted windows.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is encouraged to call the Madera County Sheriff’s Office at 559-675-7770.
