Pontiacs At The Pines

BASS LAKE – On the lookout for something handsome with lots of muscle? Head to The Pines Resort this Saturday, Sept. 27, when the Western Regional Pontiacs of Central California car club is in town.

Their classy and classic cars will be on display and free to view all day, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., along with vendor booths, and visitors will have an opportunity to meet the man known as “the Godfather of the GTO.”

Former Pontiac executive Jim Wangers will be on hand for a meet and greet to celebrate the 50 year anniversary of a legendary automobile; Wangers was Pontiac’s chief marketing manager in the early days of American muscle cars, when they produced the GTO. Wangers is the author of the autobiography, Glory Days.

Pontiacs of Central California will donate proceeds from this event to Honor Flight and Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Central Valley. Honor Flight, sending WW2 Vets to the WW2 Memorial in Washington D.C.
