OAKHURST – In celebration of Sierra Art Trails and photographer Steve Montalto, #38 on the Sierra Art Trails open studio tour happening this weekend, Branches Books and Gifts invites the community to a special reception. The event starts at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 3 with live music from the Yosemite High Jazz Band and catering by gourmet raw/vegan food truck Raw Fresno.
Meanwhile, Branches Books is hosting local artist Steve Montalto all weekend.
“Photography is about seeing the seen,” says the photographer. Steve has been creating images for many years and relocated fairly recently to the Sierra foothills, with its abundance of natural beauty acting as a catalyst for pushing hard to capture and interpret that beauty in its many forms, he says.
Branches owner Anne Driscoll is embracing the opportunity to support Sierra Art Trails, and looks forward to a fun evening with the chance to view fine photos, hear some great music, and enjoy some tasty treats in and outside her book store.
