Photographer Michael Frye Light Workshop Benefits Arts

Submitted by Cara Goger —

MARIPOSA — On Saturday, Feb. 27, 2016, renowned landscape photographer Michael Frye offers a Lightroom workshop in Yosemite Valley, the proceeds of which will benefit the Yosemite Renaissance arts programs and the Mariposa County Arts Council.

Lightroom has rapidly become the software tool of choice for many photographers because it’s simple, yet powerful – easy to use, but sophisticated enough to get great results with almost any image. In this class he’ll introduce you to the essentials of Lightroom, then help you dive into this program’s most sophisticated features.

“You’ll learn how to process images from beginning to end, using Lightroom to amplify and express your original vision for the photograph,” says Michael. “This workshop is hands-on and is much less expensive than taking a community college course.”

The workshop will also benefit the Yosemite Renaissance arts programs and the Mariposa County Arts Council.

Cost of the workshop is $225 but will be $175 for Mariposa County Arts Council members and those who have taken the Arts Council’s F/STOP workshops. To register for the workshop, please call the Arts Council at (209) 966-3155 or on line at www.michaelfrye.com.

The Mariposa County Arts Council, Inc. is an incorporated not-for-profit organization, created to promote and support all forms of the cultural arts, for all ages, throughout Mariposa County and is funding in part by Mariposa County, the California Arts Council, and the National Endowment for the Arts.
