PG&E: Public Safety Power Shut Off Expected Friday

MADERA COUNTY–PG&E has notified the Madera County Office of Emergency Services of a Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) event that is expected to affect the areas of Central Camp, The Pines, Wishon, Bass Lake Annex, North Fork, Cascadel Woods, O’Neals, and Sugar Pine.

Power is expected to be de-energized on Friday, October 18th, at approximately 4:00 a.m. Restoration is estimated to occur by Saturday, October 19th. The Madera County Sheriff’s Office will add extra staff to patrol the affected areas to ensure the safety and security of all homes and businesses impacted by the outage.

Community Resource Center sites will be available at North Fork Elementary and Oakhurst Community Center. In addition, they will be open to the public from 8:00 a.m. to 10 p.m. beginning Friday, October 18th, and daily until the restoration of the power.

  • Small medical device charging
  • Air-conditioning/heating
  • Seating
  • Wi-Fi
  • Ice

PG&E will also be reaching out to customers who will be impacted with phone calls, text messages, and door to door contact.
