BASS LAKE — Nearly 1,000 PG&E customers continued to be without power Wednesday in the eastern Madera County foothills as well as a section of Mariposa County, according to the utility company.
The power reportedly went out just after 10 p.m. Monday and remained out in many of the affected areas throughout the day Tuesday.
Impacted areas include rural customers in Bass Lake, Mormon Bar and Fish Camp.
PG&E has yet to release specific information regarding the cause of the outage but the issue could be weather-related as a strong winter storm swept over the impacted areas Monday and Tuesday, dropping more than a foot of snow in higher elevations.
According to the utility, crews continue working to get the power back on.
By midday Wednesday, power at a number of the affected residences was reported to be back on — but PG&E has yet to announce an estimated time of complete restoration.
