OAKHURST – Stop by Western Sierra Nursery on Friday, May 27 for “An Evening of Whine and Noses” to benefit the Eastern Madera County SPCA (EMC SPCA).
While the event has been a go-to fun fundraiser hosted by Mark and Robyn Holland that’s brought many thousands of dollars to the EMC SPCA over last several years, this marks the first time it will be hosted by the new owners of Western Sierra Nursery, Dianna and Jeff Conaway. The night out includes live music and special human treats from 6 – 8 p.m. with a requested donation of $10 per person for the EMC-SPCA.
Music by Monika and Kirk Moulin of Larkspur, a tempting raffle, and a no-host bar round out a gathering of good friends all for a good cause. The EMC SPCA is a local, independent nonprofit organization not affiliated with any other SPCA or Humane Society, and is supported solely through private contributions.
Established in 1990, the EMC SPCA is dedicated to ensuring the humane treatment of all animals and provides a safe and nurturing environment for unwanted, abandoned and mistreated pets until they can be placed in loving homes.
“Through proactive intervention, public education and public outreach, the EMC SPCA seeks to promote respect for all life by breaking the cycle of abuse, neglect and pet overpopulation in our community,” according to the EMC SPCA website.
