Patriot Day In Oakhurst To Honor Those Who Serve

OAKHURST — Sierra Tel invites everyone to help show their appreciation and express their gratitude to all Veterans, Military and Emergency Services Personnel for their dedication to our country and to our mountain communities, and to honor the memory of those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001.

Patriot Day 2017 will be held on Monday, Sept. 11, at 9 a.m. at the Yosemite High School Football Stadium, 50200 Road 427 in Oakhurst.

A special key note address will be given by Brigadier General Clay L. Garrison, Commander, California Air National Guard.

The ceremonies will also include the Griswold Mountain Detachment Marine Corps League #1121 and Yosemite High School Cadet Corps. After the flag raising and presentation of the colors, the National Anthem and other songs will be performed by the YHS Chamber Singers.

There will be a 3-Volley Rifle Salute followed by Taps.

Please take this opportunity to join the community in honoring our Veterans, Military and Emergency Services Personnel, and thank them for all they do in service to their communities and their country.
