Pancake Breakfast Supports North Fork School Garden

NORTH FORK – Plan now to attend a very special Pancake Breakfast sponsored by the North Fork Lions Club to benefit the North Fork School Garden.

Breakfast will be served up from 8 to 10 a.m. on Saturday, Apr. 11, in Kennedy Hall at the North Fork Elementary School. Eggs, sausage and pancakes will be generously prepared by the Lions Club, stepping up as they always do, to contribute to important community projects.

There will be a tour of the garden conducted by Kern Family Farm members, and by North Fork students who are learning first-hand where their food comes from.

Hansel turned over his first spade of dirt for this garden back in 1999, and has been donating time, energy and lots of materials to make the garden grow for over 15 years. With all he has invested in the project, this is a great opportunity for the community to give it a boost.

The cost is $6 for advance tickets for adults, $5 for students under 12, and $7 at the door. Tickets can be purchased at North Fork School or Goodwin Lumber.

Please join this special event and see how “Our Garden Has Grown,” and what our students have accomplished under the direction of Hansel Kern and his crew.
