Painting And Wine Workshop In Mariposa

MARIPOSA — The Mariposa County Arts Council is happy to announce three more dates for Brush Bar @ 1850: Nov. 14, and Jan. 19, and 23.

Brush Bar is a painting workshop, with step-by-step instruction and wine. Participants will take home a beautiful finished painting, ready to hang on the wall.

brush-bar These events will take place at 1850 Restaurant’s Loft. Local painter and college art instructor, Moira Donohoe, will lead the workshop. This month’s painting is a fall aspen landscape.

Participants are welcome to arrive at 5 p.m. for dinner and/or wine (dinner not included in price of ticket), meet the instructor, meet other participants, and ask questions.

Instruction begins at 6 and ends at 8 p.m. Participants planning on dining before class are encouraged arrive promptly at 5 p.m., as food is not allowed in the workspace.

The cost is $40 for Mariposa County Arts Council Members and $45 for non-members. This cost includes all materials, instruction, and one full glass of house red or white wine. Seats are limited.
