OAKHURST – Anyone interested in participating in a live theater production is invited to open auditions at the Golden Chain Theatre.
Actors, back stage, sound and lights, marketing, directing, set construction and painting, singers, dancers, seamstresses, wardrobe, hostesses and many more positions are open. All interested are encouraged to attend.
Auditions are Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, April 7, 8 and 9, at 6:30 p.m. at the theater.
The Golden Chain Theatre is located at 42130 Highway 41, just north of Oakhurst opposite the Hounds Tooth Inn.
The plays for the 2014 season are:
Melodramas: “The Mumberly Inheritance” and “The Boarding House”
The fall drama: “Angel Street”
Musical: “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory”
The theater also performs a shorter melodrama at various locations, including the Sugar Pine Mountain Railroad.
