MARIPOSA COUNTY – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will conduct the following one-way traffic control this week on State Route-140 (SR-140), for maintenance and construction operations. Work is scheduled to occur as follows:
Route 140
• One-way traffic control from Sweetwater Creek to El Portal Road for pavement work beginning Sunday, October 8, through Friday, October 13, 2023, from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
• One-way traffic control at Fourth Street for sign and banner work on Monday, October 9, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
• One-way traffic control from Morse’s Nursery to Whitlock Road for utility work on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
• One-way traffic control from Triangle Road to Oak Road for utility work on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Motorists should expect 10-minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible.
This work is scheduled to take place as listed, but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment, and/or materials and construction related issues.
