MARIPOSA COUNTY – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform various operations next week on State Routes 49 and 140.
Work is scheduled as follows:
Route 49
• One-way traffic control from Brooks Road to Boyer Road for utility work from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 20, 2022.
• One-way traffic control from Moccasin Creek to Bear Valley Road for shoulder beginning Monday, December 19, through Friday, December 23, 2022, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Route 140
• One-way traffic control at various points from the Merced County line to the east of Trower Road for highway construction beginning Monday, December 19, through Wednesday, December 21, 2022, from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Motorists should expect 10-minute delays at times and are advised to use alternate routes whenever possible.
This work is scheduled to begin as listed but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment, and/or materials, and construction-related issues.
