One-Way Traffic Control Next Week

MARIPOSA COUNTY – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will conduct the following one-way traffic control next week on State Route-49 (SR-49) and SR-140 for maintenance and construction operations. Work is scheduled as follows:

STATE ROUTE 49

• One-way traffic control from Bear Valley Point to French Camp Road for utility work on Wednesday, May 29, 2024. The work will take place from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

• One-way traffic control from County Road to Penon Blanco/Haigh Road for utility work beginning on Wednesday, May 29, through Friday, May 31, 2024. The work will take place from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

STATE ROUTE 140

• One-way traffic control from Mariposa Creek to State Route 49 North for utility work beginning Tuesday, May 28. Work will continue through Friday, May 31, 2024, from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.

• One-way traffic control from Briceburg to South Fork Merced River for pavement work beginning Tuesday, May 28. Work will continue through Friday, May 30, 2024, from 9:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.

• One-way traffic control from South Fork Merced River to Yosemite National Park for pavement work beginning Tuesday, May 28. Work will continue through Thursday, May 30, 2024, from 9:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.

• One-way traffic control from Colorado Road to Bull Creek Road for electrical work beginning Wednesday, May 29. Work will continue through Friday, May 31, 2024, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

• One-way traffic control from Bull Creek Road to Slate Gulch for electrical work beginning Wednesday, May 29. Work will continue through Friday, May 31, 2024, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Motorists should expect 5–10-minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible.

This work is to take place as listed, but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment/materials and construction related issues.
