OAKHURST – Tongues and tails will be wagging as the Oakhurst Mountain Lions Club sponsors a fun fundraising event to benefit our four-legged friends and the animal shelter for the Eastern Madera County SPCA (EMCSPCA).
It’s the first-ever Oakminster Dog Show, scheduled for Saturday, Apr. 27 at the Community Park from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. All dogs and their humans are cordially invited.“Your dog could be a star,” say organizers, adding that guests can anticipate a host of awards for both pure and mixed breeds, along with useful classes for all breeds, plus some obedience and other kinds of canine competition.
Preregistration is $10 per dog and forms are available online at www.emcspca.org. Day of event registration costs $15.
Check in and registration take place from 8 – 9 a.m. and judging starts at 10 a.m.
Awards, including the hotly contested “Best in Show,” will be presented after judging has concluded.
