Oakhurst Adventist Health Offers New Specialty Services

OAKHURST – The community will now be able to benefit from two additional services at Adventist Health / Community Care in Oakhurst.

Dr. Claude Schutz is offering expert foot care and surgery services, and Kimberly Trejo, a licensed clinical social worker, is offering care to those suffering from depression, anxiety and other behavioral health problems.

Dr. Schutz is board-certified in podiatric surgery. He provides care for a wide range of foot and ankle problems such as bunions, hammertoes, heel spurs, ingrown toenails, heel pain, fractures, calluses, warts and problems associated with diabetes.

Dr. Schutz graduated from the California College of Podiatric Medicine and received additional training at the Dwight David Eisenhower Army Medical Center in Fort Gordon, Ga.

He has been providing foot care for more than 35 years.

Kimberly Trejo is a Fresno native who became interested in social work after being employed as an administrative clerk inside the Fresno Police Department.

“I’ve always been fascinated watching first responders react to disasters,” says Trejo. “But then I began to wonder, who helps the first responders cope during the aftermath of these tragedies?”

Trejo wanted to learn more about the thought process of the human mind and behaviors. She attended California State University, Fresno, where she earned a bachelor’s in psychology and master’s in social work.

Both Trejo and Schutz may be reached at Adventist Health / Community Care – Oakhurst, 48677 Victoria Lane, with a phone number of 559-683-2711.
