NORTH FORK – The newest addition to downtown North Fork will open their doors on Friday, May 24, from 10 to 11 a.m. and welcome folks to stop in and see what’s happening.
The North Fork Visitor’s Center is ready for business at 33037 Road 222, next to North Fork Hardware. Their first full day will be Saturday, May 25, when regular hours will be 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., 10 to 2 on Sundays.Jenny Pearson has been training with the Yosemite Sierra Visitor’s Bureau in Oakhurst for the past few months, and will be coordinating the 22 volunteers who have signed on to welcome visitors to North Fork, and share all that the area has to offer.
This will be phase one of a project that will eventually integrate the Chamber of Commerce and a business resource center at the location.
As an added bonus, local musician Jean Butterfield will be entertaining during the open house, from 10 to 11 a.m.
