North Fork Chamber Launches Scholarship Fund

NORTH FORK – The North Fork Chamber of Commerce is dedicated to promoting the business community, and with that vision in mind, they have started a College Scholarship Fund to support North Fork students graduating for Minarets High School.

“We know financial assistance will not only meet the need, but will also motivate students to continue their education and become part of a professional workforce in our community,” says Chamber president Becky Kern.

The Chamber is calling on community members and business owners to donate to the cause.

“Any amount would be appreciated and is fully tax deductible,” says Kern. “We would like to thank you in advance for your sponsorship in growing the NFCOC Scholarship Fund, and for helping us to meet the needs of some of our future business or political science majors.”

To kick off the fund, the NFCOC is holding a fundraiser on Saturday, Apr. 26, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the North Fork Visitors Center, 33037 Road 222 (Main Street). Bring your boxes of paperwork in need of shredding. The first bankers box size is free, and the second or more is just $5 each. Donations are welcome and all proceeds go to the scholarship fund.
