FRIANT – North Fork resident Michael Olwyler will hold a book signing event in Friant on Saturday, Feb. 17, from 1 to 3 p.m., for the recently published book, San Miguel de Allende & Its People, featuring photographs by his father, Peter Olwyler.
The black-and-white photographs are from Peter’s Early Mexico Period between 1955 and 1971. These images are historically significant, cover interesting topics, and are amazingly beautiful fine art photojournalism.
Peter and his family lived and worked in San Miguel, an historic and well-known city that gained World Heritage status in 2008.
Residents of San Miguel recognize Peter’s photographs, but only now are they being shared more widely in this slim book packed with his wonderful images.
Books will be available for purchase, so join Michael and friends at 21015 Lago Bello Lane in Friant on Saturday, Feb. 17.
