OAKHURST – Camarena Health remains on track to open its new urgent care clinic in Oakhurst soon.
The “community-based” healthcare provider is currently in the process of remodeling the old Sierra Star building on Road 426 and will open the new clinic when the renovation work is complete, Camarena CEO Paulo Soares said Monday.
“We are very excited to expand our services in the community to include urgent care,” Soares said. “[The new urgent care clinic] will give residents of Eastern Madera County access to services during evening and weekend hours.”
Soares said it will be “a few more weeks” before the organization is ready to reveal more details about its new clinic, including days and hours of operation, number of medical providers and specific services.
Camarena accepts all types of insurance, including Medi-Cal and Medicare.
The Madera-based organization currently operates clinics in Oakhurst, Coarsegold, Madera and Chowchilla, offering a full range of primary care medical and dental services.
