OAKHURST – The Yosemite Sierra Visitors Bureau would like to welcome two new members to the team, Adrienne Thomas and Kim Lawson.
Adrienne Thomas is the new Administrative Assistant. Originally from the Central Coast of California, Adrienne recently relocated to Oakhurst with her husband, a Bass Lake native.
Adrienne graduated from Azusa Pacific University with a degree in International Business and has experience in a wide array of industries from medical billing to non-profit organizations.
She spent time with the international non-profit, Zambikes, where she helped develop sustainable social enterprises in Africa.
Most recently Adrienne specialized in SEO and Paid Advertising opportunities in the Online Retail Industry for Running Warehouse. She is passionate about international travel and culture, participating in organized running events, spending time with family and appreciating both California and international wine.
Kim Lawson is the new Director of PR & Media. Raised in Mariposa, Kim left the Sierra foothills to pursue a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Business Administration and Marketing from Sonoma State University.
A little over two years ago, her passions for the outdoors and for family brought her back to the mountains. Today, her portfolio includes over 10 years’ experience in marketing and media with high profile motorsports teams in NASCAR & Grand AM to small non-profit organizations. She is passionate about the local region and is excited to have the opportunity to be a part of promoting it through her new position.
In her free time Kim can be found hiking the back country, climbing a large rock or testing her skills behind the wheel at a drag strip.
Adrienne and Kim are both excited to join the team just in time for 2015 and the 125th Anniversary of Yosemite National Park. Stay tuned for an exciting year with the Yosemite Sierra Visitors Bureau.
