FRESNO — Oakhurst resident and Fresno firefighter Brad Driscoll has been promoted to Battalion Chief and named Firefighter of the Year by the Fresno Rotary Club.

On Tuesday, May 15, Driscoll was officially promoted to Battalion Chief at the Fresno Fire Department in a ceremony that honored the dedication and professionalism of firefighters and fire inspectors.

Brad is married to Anne Driscoll of Branches Books & Gifts in Oakhurst, also known as the best bookstore in the Sierra. Anne attended last week’s ceremony with their daughter, Sandra.

“We’re incredibly proud of Brad Driscoll,” says Anne. “He’s our hero, so it’s wonderful to see him being recognized for being such a positive force in other lives that he touches.”
