On Saturday, August 24th, Fresno music icon Roger Perry's dynamic and rousing performance closed the Mariposa County Arts Council's 2024 Music on the Green concert series.

Music on the Green Presents Nicholas Lefler & Songwriters

MARIPOSA–One of Mariposa’s longest-standing community programs, Music on the Green features free, live concerts every Friday and Saturday of the summer at the Mariposa County Art Park. Produced by Andy Roberts and the Mariposa Arts Council, Music on the Green supports local and traveling musicians from all genres. It also draws visitors and residents alike to Mariposa’s vibrant, historic downtown community.

This weekend’s featured music guests are Nicholas Lefler and Songwriters in the Round.

Nicholas Lefler

Nicholas Lefler is a one-man band based out of Tuolumne County. He has been super active in the central California music scene for a couple of decades. Once fronting the popular national touring act Alma Melodiosa, now a producer, recording engineer, solo musician, and collaborator. He is a masterful multi-instrumentalist and live looper. Songwriters in the Round

The evening of Songwriters in the round will feature four local musicians. This will include Candice Lamb from Merced and Cheyenne Hernandez from Mariposa. Also, Hank Lamar with deep Mariposa roots, but currently based out of Olympia, Washington, and Johnathan Lo-fi from the Fresno area.

When and Where

Nicholas Lefler will perform on Friday, July 19th, and the Songwriters in the round will perform on Saturday, July 20th.

All performances begin at 7 p.m. (unless otherwise noted) at the Mariposa County Art Park (5013 Hwy 140) in historic downtown Mariposa, CA. Parking is available along 4th and 5th St. The lower 5th St. parking lot provides an accessible pedestrian path to the Art Park through the Mariposa Creek Parkway entry. Tips for the performers will be solicited, encouraged, and appreciated.
