COARSEGOLD – Grab a blanket and chairs, a hat and sunglasses, and prepare to truly enjoy an afternoon of Music in the Meadow, as the Coarsegold Historical Society hosts its 12th annual festival on the Coarsegold Museum Grounds.
The action takes place on Saturday, Jun. 4 from noon to 4 p.m., and the cost is $10 per person, with proceeds to benefit the venue. The fun, easy-going family-friendly event is a fundraiser for the Coarsegold Historical Society, dedicated to the ongoing restoration of the Museum’s 1870s adobe house.
With Central Valley and local favorite band Executive Rockers supplying a mix of oldies, classic rock, 80s and country, it’s shaping up to be a perfect day to hang out in the tented shade.
Look for beer on tap from South Gate Brewing Co., assorted wines and displays from local museums. Be sure to stop by the silent auction and keep your eyes on the popular 50/50 drawing, with tickets available throughout the day. Docents will be on-hand during the event for museum tours. Sponsors include Sullivan’s Tire Pros, Veater Financial Group, Kenli, and Starlight Taxi.
The Coarsegold Historic Museum is located at 31899 Highway 41, just south of Lucky Lane.
