This event is open to the public and all ages are invited to participate. New this year, we are including Runners and Walkers.

The 10-mile course starts in Catheys Valley at the corner of Highway 140 and Indian Gulch Road, and continues down Indian Gulch to Hornitos Road into the historical town of Hornitos.

The event also offers shorter distances of a one or five miles.

Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. at the corner of State Highway 140 and Indian Gulch Road. Walk, Run or Bike MS will begin at around 10 a.m., and will finish at Hornitos Park with a BBQ and awards ceremony. All proceeds are going to the Multiple Sclerosis Society.

Multiple Sclerosis is a serious progressive disease of the central nervous system, occurring mainly in young adults and thought to be caused by a malfunction of the immune system. It leads to the loss of myelin in the brain or spinal cord and causes muscle weakness, poor eyesight, slow speech, and some inability to move.

Come enjoy a leisurely Run, Walk, or Ride through the beautiful foothills, visit our local establishments and experience the rich history and atmosphere of our historic towns.

Remember to mark your calendar for Run, Walk, or Bike-A-Thon, Sunday, Apr. 23. For pledge forms and more information please call 209-376-2312 or 209-376-2320.
