O’NEALS — Highway 41 was shut down between Road 200 and SR-145 as emergency personnel responded to a multi-vehicle accident at Road 406.
At approximately 1:35 p.m. this afternoon, CHP received reports that a vehicle had swerved into the oncoming lane resulting in a head-on collision ultimately involving at least three vehicles.
Injuries are reported. A landing zone was set up at Minarets High School off Road 200 and two helicopters responded to the scene, airlifting two patients, according to CHP.
Northbound traffic was diverted on Highway 41 at SR-145, and southbound traffic was re-routed at Road 200. More details will be released as they become available.
Highway 41 was reopened at 3:20 p.m.
