MADERA COUNTY – Two mountain area residents, who were the subjects in an ongoing theft and fraud case, are behind bars after deputies arrested the pair earlier this week in Oakhurst.
James Cutter Randrup, 27, of Coarsegold, and Kara Nicole Raynor, 29, of Ahwahnee, face numerous felony charges, which include vehicle theft, receiving stolen property, conspiracy and fraud. Randrup also faces narcotic charges.
According to reports, mountain deputies received a tip that Randrup tried to sell two stolen bicycles to a bike shop in Oakhurst. He was still inside the store when deputies arrived. Raynor was sitting inside their vehicle – a pickup that was later discovered to have been stolen out of Fresno.
The couple was booked into Madera County Department of Corrections with bail set at $35,000 each.
