MADERA COUNTY – Get the shot, not the flu! Mountain area residents will be offered the opportunity to get their flu shots without even getting out of the car at two upcoming events.
In Oakhurst, on Tuesday, Oct. 14, there will be a drive-thru clinic at the Mountain Christian Center, 40299 Highway 49, from noon to 3 p.m.
In North Fork, on Friday, Oct. 17, residents can stop in at the Post Office, 33173 Road 222, between 10 and 11 a.m. for another drive-thru clinic.
There is a cost of just $5 per shot to cover costs, but no one will be refused service due to an inability to pay. Must be 12 years or older.
