Missing Oakhurst Woman Located By Police

MADERA COUNTY – Christina Romero, who disappeared Sunday, June 22, after her release from a hospital early that morning has been found, according to the Madera County Sheriff’s Office.

The 43-year-old Oakhurst resident was located Monday night by officers with the Madera Police Department near Gateway and 1st Street.

According to police she needed medical attention and was transported to Madera Community Hospital (MCH) for treatment.

Romero was reportedly admitted into MCH in the city of Madera Saturday night, June 21, around 7 p.m.

When her family called the hospital on Monday to check on her status, they say they were told Christina had been discharged – released from the hospital at 2 a.m. Sunday morning.

Upon learning this, her family notified the Sheriff’s Office, who launched a search for the woman.
